How Long Do Fraxel Results Last?
On average, Fraxel results last at least a year, but this varies by patient. While Fraxel can improve severe acne or surgical scars, regular follow-ups may be needed every few years depending on the condition’s severity.
Does Fraxel Hurt?
Fraxel is mostly painless, with only a mild prickling sensation. A numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort. Fraxel manages to achieve great results without being ablative, so it avoids persistent burning, hot spots, or ‘crispy’ skin, while still delivering great results.
When Will I See My Fraxel Results?
Expect redness, throbbing, and swelling for the first two days, followed by rough, peeling skin from days three to five. It is recommended to wait 2-3 weeks between treatments. Results depend on the number of treatments in the series.
What Does Fraxel Aftercare Look Like?
For the first week after a Fraxel treatment, use only non-irritating, non-clogging skin care products. If your skin feels tight or itchy, apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer as needed. Your nurse technician will send you a set of post-care instructions to follow when you get home for optimal results.
